Summer in the city is filled with exciting events and activities, and there is definitely no shortage of outdoor festivals! From Toronto Pride to the Jazz Festival, there is something for everyone to enjoy. Here is our list of a few of the most anticipated festivals for the month of June…
1. Toronto Pride – June 1-24 – One of the most exciting, crazy and MASSIVE events is back! With an estimated attendance of over 1 million people, Torontonians come together for the month of June to celebrate pride. Ending on the 24th with the iconic Pride Parade, this is definitely not an event to miss.
2. Taco Fest – June 15-17 – Presented by TasteToronto and held at Ontario Place, expect Toronto’s top tacos, a margarita / sangria bar, food tastings and samplings, a mariachi band and live music – and don’t forget about churros (A Fab Fete favorite).
3. Luminato – June 6-24 – Luminato transforms the city and creates an environment that celebrates art and culture. With dozens of different things to see all over the city, this is a great opportunity to explore Toronto while learning and experiencing many different art forms. We are most excited to see Amal Clooney on June 22nd at Roy Thomson Hall talking about human rights issues in the world today.
4. Toronto Jazz Festival – June 22-July 1 – With 10 days of performances, 40 locations around the city and 1,500 musicians, the Jazz Festival is an ideal spot to relax and enjoy good music. Major headlines include Herbie Hancock, Gregory Porter, and Holly Cole.
